Kindergarten kids have completed their first full week (5 days) of school! We read This school Year Will Be The Best! by Kay Winters. We wrote our Hopes and Dreams for the kindergarten year! These are hung in the kindergarten hallway for all to read. We will see how many of these we can make come true! We also read A My Name is Alice by Jane Bayer. The children worked on writing their name, counting the letters in their name, and placing the number of letters in their name in a ten frame. They then needed to come up with words that start with their first letter. Handwriting work on Friday included reviewing big curve, little curve, big line, little line. We played the Mat Man song and built him on the white board. The children's independent work included drawing a Mat Man of their own!
