Scholatic Book Fair for our class: Thursday, November 30th

 

Our classroom visits this Thursday, November 30th.

Please talk to your child about your wishes, thank you!

Third week in November: November 20 & 21 (2 Days -Thanksgiving Break)

We have been singing this song as an activity at Morning Meeting.

Ask your child to sing Tom, Tom Turkey to you! 🦃

Listening for the first sound in a word.

Kindergarten Literacy Goals:

Able to identify all capital and lowercase letters.

Able to provide all consonant sounds.

Able to provide all short vowel sounds.

Able to write all capital and lowercase letters.

Reading: Personalizing the cover to her reading journal.

The children's name is done with stickers.

Up to six other stickers of her choice to fancy her reading journal cover.

They had fun doing this with my daughter Anna who was home from college.

I will be putting the journals together this week.

Some children will be bringing home books soon to read. 

Reading: Scholastic News 

Completing his Scholastic News.

Math: Counting and writing numbers.

Carefully count (touch count or mark each item).

Math: Correctly form the number (top to bottom).

Reading (color words) and math (shapes, counting, and writing numbers.)

We have begun a new writing unit: Show and Tell.
