Building a leprechaun trap.

We read some very fun Irish Folklore this week, participated in many related activities and had some St. Patrick's Day fun yesterday!
Here are some highlights:
Select your colors and cover the paper.

Flip it over & cut out the shamrock.

Write a message if you desire.

Should I give it to someone?
Maybe try some the colors
of Ireland's flag?

We discovered several hidden riddles!
Solving the riddles together
which led us on a hunt!
What doe it mean?
Where should we be

headed next?

Gold was found in a black kettle in our pretend fairy house.
How will we solve how many pieces each of us receive?

The excitement was truly enjoyable to observe!
Oh how suddenly our playground can change!
Plenty of fun on the playground!
Goldie's tank is all labeled and we know how to care for our goldfish.

We are learning the structure of a goldfish.
We practiced drawing the features.

Using a magnifier to look real close at features like gills and scales.

Using nonfiction text to find the information
we need to label our fish drawings.
