Second Week in October

🧁 Friday we celebrated our first birthday! 🎈

Science: What is a scientist?

        We read and enjoyed this book and learned a lot about scientists!


The children also liked viewing a PowerPoint which 
introduced them to several kinds of scientists.

Mr. Davis (our Speech Pathologist) listens to children tell about their writing and drawing.

the children made a birthday book for our first birthday kiddo!
The birthday book goes home to share with family.
Each child also goes home with a few treats:
a birthday bracelet,
a birthday pencil,
a Pete the Cat Birthday card & bookmark,
scratch and sniff stickers
&
a book they select for their home library






The children liked this story, and some knew it.

provide consent sounds
provide short vowel sounds
provide long vowel sound

Practicing any of these at home would be helpful!




Quiet Time: Sketch Book Friday!





We read this story about a little boy's 100th Day of School.
His Great Aunt Lula comes to visit his classroom.
She is 100 years old and came in with a cane with 100 ribbons tied to it.

Tara Bucci's (a 4th-grade teacher at here Pond Cove) grandmother Mary Bucci 
was turning 100 on October 15th.
The family had a goal of 100 cards to celebrate her 100th birthday.

Our class made her a big card (poster)!

He is holding some treats from Mr. Manjourides & Mrs. Forrey-Pettit!
He also was given. special sticker from Officer Galvin in the cafeteria!
