Fourth Week in March

Monday's read aloud.

Thanks for taking out the lighter coats, the children were much happier.
The weather changes so quickly and some days it's beautiful but very windy.

One of our many morning meeting shares!

Counting on from numbers, counting backwards, being able to compare numbers.

Writer's Workshop
Narrative pieces were sent home.
We have some hanging in our classroom on our bulletin board.
We are now learning how to write a How To Book.

We read this book first to look at the structure of a "How To."

This mentor text the children loved!

How To Books:
Tell in steps
Have pictures to match the steps
Steps can be numbered

The children are brainstorming things they know how to ...
Make
Do
Play

We studied and added two new snap words: he & she and reviewed several others like have and here.

Loosing a tooth at school!

When you loose a tooth at school you receive a fun tooth shaped necklace to keep it safe
until you get home to share!

Guidance Class with Mrs. O'Neill
