Thursday's Read Aloud: A great story!

We had a nice discussion with this book!

Working hard to secure short vowels!

Any practice you can fit in at home would be helpful.

The children are working hard to understand short vowels in words and also use them inter writing!

This will be coming home in your child's reading journal bag this week!

Please remember:

1. The materials in the reading journal bag are intended to be practiced for 2 or 3 days. 

Rereads are very important fro fluency.

2. Anything signed out in the journal I hope you will return, this includes paper books signed out.  

The children keep them in their reading buckets for additional reading practice.

The children had a good week!  I hope they have a good weekend, and have a chance to rest up!

Next week: Library is Monday, Wednesday & Friday.  Books will be exchanged on Friday.

Wednesday is an Early Release Day.  Please remember we have snack and lunch at school.
