Guided Reading
At Teacher Time (guided reading) children are handling the books themselves.
They are working on many skills including concepts of print.
Your child will be bringing home their reading journal to practice the books with family members.
Please remember that by the time the books come to you, they are very familiar with them.
The first read for your child most likely presented very differently (a slight challenge).
There is a spot in the journal for an adult to initial/sign that their child has practice read the books in the bag several times.
This signature can be from a parent, a grand parent, child care provider, aunt or uncle etc.
It is nice to see that your child is reading to a variety of people in their lives!
The title of the books that should come back to school is listed in the journal to help you locate them all.
Please treat the paper books just like the other books.  If listed, they come back too!  Thanks!

Fall fun! We'll be bundling up to play, so please dig out the warmer clothes!

Have great weekend!
