Fourth Week in November

Welcome Lips the Fish to Our Classroom!

Lips the Fish reminds students to get their lips ready!
Say the first sounds of the unknown word out loud.

Lips the Fish & Eagle Eye work together to solve unknown words.
Above is chart work we did to tackle a new book called The Turkey.
Most children will have this in their reading journal to practice over break.
If your child is stuck, please ask them to try these two strategies.
Resist giving your child the word.  They are learning strategies to tackle it themselves!

If this is an easy read for your child, he/she can practicing fluency
& then move on to their "good fit" books.

Writing: Expressing Gratitude
These are hung in our kindergarten hallway.
If you would like to read what your child has written,
ask them to share their writing below with you.
The children are working on being able to read their own writing.

We enjoyed Turkey Trouble by Wendi Silvano
The children love walking up to the bulletin board in the K Wing
to see what has been added!

Check out the creativity!

We have begun music with Ms. Bean!  The children are in her music room.
Watch for her her remote learning assignments in the Allied Arts Google Classroom.

Celebrating our 6th classroom birthday!

Outdoor time in the blue zone.
