Writing: Show and Tell
We are using the photos that the children
took on their iPad to complete our Show & Tell Writing
at school.

At school we always have our alphabet chart out
when we write.  Please make sure your child has theirs when
they are writing at home as well, thank you!

The kids are getting very good at reading color words and graphing.

Enjoying route 77 with vehicles.

High frequency word "snap word" from this week.
These are words we hope children can read and write in a snap.
So far: a, I, love, like, the, names in our class and the basic color words.

Welcome Eagle Eye to the classroom.
Eagle Eye reminds children to look at the picture to help solve words.
Please do not cover up the pictures when your child reads to you, thanks!

We always take a picture walk through the book before reading.

Reading
Approximately once a week, your child will be bringing home their reading journal bag.
The bag will include the journal which the children fancied up themselves with stickers of their choosing. The journal looks like the teal one above in the photo.
The journal bag may include books like Making a Bird above, books like the paper one Here Is What I See On ... Election Day and may include tools and games like letter work activities, word games etc.
Please keep everything together in the Zip Loc which is labeled with your child's name.
There is a spot for an adult who works with your child to sign (find stamp inside each time).
This person can be parents, grandparents, a childcare provider, an aunt, an uncle etc.
It is fun to see a variety of signatures if you child is showing their reading off to a variety of people!
Goal: To build enthusiasm and confidence for reading.  Become a life long reader.
Please return the bag and it's signed out contents after your child has had
a chance to read and practice the activities.
I list what should come back inside the journal.
Thank you for your support! 📚
