Say the word (picture), write the beginning, middle, and ending sound.

Many of the leprechaun drawing are hung on a bulletin board in the classroom.

Wednesday Morning's field trip to Cape Elizabeth High School.
We were given the opportunity to see the play Charlotte's Web!
The children enjoyed the play! It was well done!

We have started a new unit!
We have begun learning about How-To Writing.
She. is working on her planning page.
What do I know how to: Make, Do, Play?
She is generating ideas and sketching them to help plan for her first How-To Book.
Math
Skip counting by fives.
Highlighting by fives to one hundred.
Kindergarten Goal: Skip counting by 10s, 5s, and 2s.
Hearing and Recording Sounds with Mrs. Cornell.
When working with your child at hone to spell please ask them to say the word aloud themselves (as many times as needed to produce beginning, middle and ending sounds).
Research believes that this helps their brain.
Typically yoga is offered as a choice on Thursday's during Quiet Time.
This Cosmic Yoga is a new one that they liked: Clover the Lucky Cat!
They enjoyed the story and the body movements.
Phonics
Short (u) in CVC words.
Independent work: Missing CVC Words (short u).
The children are being encouraged to write lowercase letters with the formation they have been taught.
All lowercase letters have been introduced and taught formally.
They know which ones should be tall, small, or tail letters.
It would be great if you could encourage this when at home as well!
Choice time: iPads.
She is practicing addition.

These shamrocks are turning out beautiful!
