Week One After Kindergarten Screening!

Week One After Kindergarten Screening!

Wow, our first day(s) in. the classroom were very busy! We practiced some of our routines (lockers, hand washing, greeting others from 6ft, lining up, snack & lunch expectations, playground safety, mailboxes, Home/School folder and more).  We learned about our daily schedule and had our first world language lesson with Señora Chase!  We read The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn and completed projects based on the book.  We enjoyed The King of Kindergarten by Derrick Barnes and made first day of kindergarten crowns!  Several were tired, we worked hard!

Using small muscles to color while we unpack everyone's supplies!

Four in person days, so four hands to express feelings.

Quiet instrumental music is played.
Our rest time (or quiet time) will be different each day: sketching, reading books

We no longer have carpets in our classroom.  Your child is welcome to bring in a small yoga mat.
We will keep them in our lockers.

We read: King of Kindergarten by Derrick Barnes

I think we are going to have lots of fun this year!
