Wednesday's field trip was a highlight of our week!
It was an active morning.
There was more to explore than we could fit into our available time block.
The children did very well! ♥️

Thank you to the following chaperones for making this field trip possible!

Sarah Yantakosol Gayer (Leif's mom)
Elizabeth Goodspeed (Elliot's mom)
Terri Mayer (Gloria's mom)
Patrick O'Neill (Rowyn's dad)

The corn pit!

As you know the children have been provided with sensory opportunities in our classroom
and there will be more to come,
but this opportunity exceeds anything we will have in the classroom!
The expressions of pure joy are priceless! ♥️

Saying hello to the rabbits!

The water pumps!
Working to move the little plastic duckies!

Our class' turn on the jumping pillow!

There were several animals to visit.

For fun!

What a beautiful setting for our group!

Trying out the mini corn maze!
We have got this!

Which way should we go!

Exploring an ear of corn up close!

There were a couple hints inside to guide us, but only a few.

Hello!

And this team is out! 🌽

Exploratory bubble fun!

Wow!

It's our turn to go on the wagon ride to the pumpkin patch!

Farmer Kevin drove us out to the pumpkin patch
and invited the children to select a pumpkin of their choice!

Thank you to our parent chaperones for assisting the children in their selection, cleaning and taking the pumpkin off the vine if necessary, and labeling the pumpkins with names!

Check out this pumpkin, stem, and vine!
Love this! Fun!

They appeared pleased with their selections.
The pumpkins went home to enjoy!

We ate snacks and lunch and got ready to board the bus for the ride home!

I am thankful we were able to provide this opportunity for the children.
We had a beautiful autumn day to enjoy it!
Thanks for sending in all that was needed to enjoy this field trip!

Mrs. McDermott taught her first Social Emotional Learning (SEL) lesson.
She explained what her role as a School Counselor is at Pond Cove.
The children went on a walking field trip to her space.
She will come approximately twice a month.

Children could choose to finish something in their box or play with the wild animals.
