Has your child shared that when they arrive each day they are greeted in the hallway or at the door? After saying hello their routine is to hand me their folder and wash their hands (we are working hard to keep our friends with allergies as safe as possible). They let me know if they are going to be buying anything from the lunchroom and then they go sign in at the sign in table.

As part of signing in daily your child is asked to
trace their name & make their name like seen above.
Your child is working on proper formation (top to bottom)
with appropriate upper & lowercase letters.
Spacing will come with time. I see improvement each day.
