In effort to get all the children in before the end of the year, the office begins celebrating summer birthdays.  The children's name is announced at announcements.  We will celebrate summer birthdays in our classroom in June.  More to come!

The children's skills in reading are growing everyday!

As part of the reading group lesson there is always a discussion, or retell.  This comprehension piece for some is the more challenging part of reading.  They can have great oral reading fluency, but need work on retelling the story in their own words.  This skill is something that can be practiced at home as well.
