Singing I'm a Little Leprechaun
Ask your child to sing this one to you! 🍀
Math
We have been working on place value.
We have also been working on ten and how many more for teen numbers.
Unifix cubes are often used to represent a group of ten (tower of ten)
encouraging children to count on from ten.
K Math Goal: I can count on from any number to 100.
Counting on from a number is still tricky for some children.
When time allows it would be helpful to practice.
You can provide a number and your child can count to the next group of ten.

Writing
The children are working to finish their fictional narrative.
She is reading what she has so far to her classmates.
It is important that children can read their own writing.
They are working hard on the mechanics of a sentence which helps make it easier to read:
Starts with a capital.
Spaces between words.
Lowercase letters when appropriate.
Punctuation at the end.
Writing
When they are. working at the tables they are helping each other by spelling words
and remembering to use what has been taught and all the resources provided.
They read their stories to each other.
The children read their stories to me and I conference with each of them. They are working hard to provide a beginning, middle, and end. They are developing characters. Some are working on a problem in their story.
