Reading: Word Work
The children like using the smelly markers (scented markers).
Lego fun at choice time.
I am nt sure they will let me put away the magna tiles for awhile,
still a favorite and they are building wonderful structures!
Writing Workshop: personal word wall as a tool.
They have had a word wall all along with the snap words we are studying, but on this day they added other words they know in a snap.
Animal Costumes
Mrs. Rand switched out the library books!
Maroon Group plays Duck Duck Goose at recess!
Some St. Patrick's Day fun!
Art Activity: Making shamrocks!
Listening for sounds in words.
Read to Self
The expectation at this point in the year is that children read a solid 10 minutes.
We are doing well with that at school!
