Class Book Coming Home!

Please take a few moments to sit with your child and share our class book.

Please keep for one (or two days) and return to school via your child's back pack.

The children love taking the class books home to share!

The quicker we can move the books along the better, thanks for your support!

We have created a class book which will be coming home to share with you.

I hope you can take a few minutes to read the book with your child.  Please remember to pack it in their home/school folder to be returned to school, so that another child may bring it home to share. We hope you enjoy our book!

 Learning About Tools That Scientist Use

Morning Message

Every morning we have a class meeting which includes: A Greeting, Going over our schedule for the day, a Share, an Activity and a Message. Our message at this time of the year is quite simple. We read it together and share the pen for a couple of things. The message goes home with the leader of the 

day. Hopefully your child will try reading it to you! Recycle when ready. 

Literacy

During our literacy block we have spent considerable time looking at our names with emphasis on the first letter. We are working on recognizing each other's name in print. The children are learning to work independently on tasks like this while their teacher is working with small groups. Building stamina for this kind of independent work takes time. They are practicing turning in their work without interrupting the reading group.
