Second day of Kindergarten!

 Our second day in kindergarten!

We practiced an evacuation drill.

We read Pete the Cat Rocking in My School Shoes

and the children designed their own school shoes!

The children had their first health class with Mrs. Kennedy! 

Six colors and shapes were introduced in our guided discovery at math.

Our school shoes are hung in the classroom fro all to enjoy!

They came out great!

We learned where our safe spot is and took a walk to learn how to complete an evacuation drill.

We read and enjoyed Pete The Cat Rocking in My School Shoes by Eric Litwin 

and designed our own school shoes!

When finished, some children looked through our class collection of Pete The Cat books!

These are hung in our classroom for everyone to enjoy!

Our school shoes look great on the bulletin board in our classroom!

First day of kindergarten!

 Wow, our first day in the classroom was very busy! We practiced some of our routines (lockers, hand washing, greeting others from 6ft, lining up, snack & lunch expectations, playground safety, mailboxes, Home/School folder and more).  We learned about our daily schedule and had our first music class with Ms. Bean! We read The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn and completed projects based on the book.  We enjoyed The King of Kindergarten by Derrick Barnes and made first day of kindergarten crowns!  Several were tired, we worked hard!

 and completed a project afterwards.

Kindergarten eats their lunch in the classroom! Yum!

We learned about our white boards, dry erase marker, eraser, 

and practiced sketching on them.

We enjoyed The King of Kindergarten by Derrick Barnes and made crowns!
