Last week in March: March 25-29th (No School Monday - ice storm)


Tuesday's SEL lesson with Mrs. McDermott.


The story was followed by small group discussions.



Our science unit is exploring Force and Motion.


We are ending our phonics unit on vowel power.
Independent work while reading groups are happening: short u CVC work (say, write, read).

This second half of the year we have been learning each other's last names.  The children are being asked to sign in with their last name and write their last name with the help of a resource.  The girls are fancying up name plates for our classroom bulletin board.  Watch for their first nameplates to come home this week.

Kindergarten Goal: Name 2D and 3D shapes.
When time allows please point out a 3D shape and ask your child what it is!

Rectangular Prism and Pyramid were added this week.
Last week we focused on sphere, cube, cone, and cylinder.

Instruction has focused on 2D vs. 3D, sorting, and naming.






The rain kept us inside for a couple recesses, but that gave 
more turns to those waiting patiently for a turn at the marble runs!

The children's illustrations have really matured as the year goes on!

Wear your kindergarten T-shirt if you can!
Please pack a lunch from home with a drink.  
We will not be going to the cafeteria on this day.
*Please drop me an email by the end of this Tuesday, April 2nd if you will need the cafeteria to prepare ahead 
a bag lunch for your child for Friday.
