Election 2016
We spent some time discussing the role of the President and what an election is. We read several books including Duck For President, Grace For President and I Can Be President, Too! We focused on vocabulary such as ballot, booth, candidate, and election. Monday the day finally came for the children to participate in the process. Pond Cove School offered the children the opportunity to cast their vote in our very own presidential mock election. The student checked in and were given a ballot. They took their ballots to a voting booth, and then placed their completed ballots in the ballot box. Finally, they were given a voting sticker! They took their job very seriously!
